Charlie Chaplin gets a High Valuation

Bonhams is holding their Entertainment Memorabilia sale at the end of June with an impressive example of a 1916 film of Charlie Chaplin.

Film Memorabilia

Bonhams is starting to gear up for their Entertainment Memorabilia Auction in London on the 29th of June. The sale will include a very impressive example of early film making. The lot consists of a 7 minute long 35mm film featuring Charlie Chaplin from 1916. The lot is thought to hopefully make up to six figures.

The film is one of the earliest examples of live animation. This particular film “Zepped” is also only one of two Chaplin films to be discovered with no record in the work of Chaplin. The work deals with Chaplin’s involvement in World War I as well as takes from other films from the same time. This film is new to the market and will hopefully fetch a very impressive price.
