Batmobile has antiques valuation of $499k

The vehicle from the Batman and Batman Returns movies is going under the hammer.

Film Memorabilia

The Batmobile used in some of the Batman motion pictures has been given an antiques valuation of up to $499,000 (£311.919).

According to the Chicago Tribune, the motor is going up for auction on eBay with bidding set to end tomorrow (January 19th).

The Caped Crusader's vehicle featured in the Tim Burton pictures Batman and Batman Returns and has an opening price of $299,000.

What's more, this comes after a Batman comic beat its antiques valuation to sell for nearly $0.5 million.

It managed to fetch $492,937, more than its pre-sale estimate of around $400,000, at Heritage Auctions in the US last year.

In addition to this, those interested in retro cartoon memorabilia might also be keen to note there is an array of Superman merchandise going under the hammer next month, Superman Homepage reported.

Items set to go up for sale include a Superman of America club button and a silver sterling charm.
