Antique valuation seekers might be inspired by news of a special charity fundraising drive.

A special edition of Bargain Hunt filmed for the Children In Need fundraiser has seen two famous faces seek antique valuations.

Canterbury Auction Galleries has played host to the programme, which featured Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman and 2009 series winner Ola Jordan, This Is Kent reports.

In the antiques challenge, the pair joined forces to find valuable collectibles in market stalls and shops with a view to generating a high price from bidders.

Ms Jordan picked out a Polish medal of honor, the Order of Polonia, which she recognized as a significant item from her country of birth.

The stars also selected a Tiffany silver vase and a set of mother-of-pearl butter knives, which were a success at auction.

Elsewhere, collectors looking to sell their vintage wares might have noted news that a US fundraiser has seen a trip to Dolly Parton's mountainside home purchased for $90,000 (£57,500).
