An auction in the US has seen about £400,000 worth of valuables related to the 20th century pop star Elvis Presley find new owners.

The sale in Memphis by Heritage Auctions saw a number of unique items go up for grabs, as reported by the Telegraph.

A jar of the singer's hair collected by his barber was bought for £10,700, perhaps underlining the appeal of such rare and unusual possessions.

Moreover, a three-page real estate sales agreement signed by the entertainer was purchased for £25,000.

Collectors might also be fascinated to learn that Elvis's gold and diamond 18 carat Cameo ring accrued a figure of £25,000.

In addition, a pair of his gold trimmed sunglasses which were custom made for the idol in the 1970s fetched £13,800.

Music fans seeking antique valuations might also have noted that a cymbal belonging to Lynyrd Skynyrd has been put up for grabs by the band, according to the Andalusia Star-News reports.
