Damien Hirst Audi car set for Elton John auction
When seeking classic cars appraisals, news of a Damien Hirst-designed Audi A1 may provide some inspiration.
Those on the lookout for automotive valuations might have noted news that an artistic Audi A1 model is set to go under the hammer at an annual auction organised by Sir Elton John.
Spin painted by contemporary artist Damien Hirst, the special edition will be up for grabs when the White Tie and Tiara Ball takes place on June 24th.
Proceeds will help support the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) , which is currently in charge of more than £14 million of initiatives in 15 countries.
Sir Elton said the car is "one of the most exciting auction items we have ever had for White Tie".
The showpiece will represent the eighth year in succession that EJAF has been the recipient of such an auction fundraiser.
Earlier this year, car enthusiasts might have noted that a Bugatti Veyron was sold for £625,000 at British Car Auction's Fast & Furious sale.
