Aston Martin stored in chicken shed 'worth up to £84k'

One Aston Martin motor could represent good value at auction.

Those with an interest in antique automotives may be aware thata 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk 1 3-liter is set to go under thehammer with an expected value of between £65,000 and £85,000. The model will play its part in the Historic at Brook lands auction, giving fans of vintage motors the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the rare edition.

With a £20,000 restoration beefing up the engine, the vehicle is arguably an exciting option for those with cash to splash.

Previously, it was kept in a chicken shed for 34 years, belonging to a farmer who had taken the car for bad debt in 1973. The farmer had only driven the vehicle once in the intervening period, which may fascinate motor fanatics across the UK.

Since 2007 it has been owned by a vendor who has maintained the paint work as it was. Meanwhile, BCA Blackbushe is planning to sell a 2006 Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 at an auction in Surrey.
