Andrew Lloyd Webber is set to put a wine collection with an antiques valuation of $4.1 million (£2.58 million) up for auction.

The Cats and Phantom of the Opera composer is offloading the items at a Sotheby's sale in Hong Kong.

Lloyd Webber will have 748 lots of the alcohol up for auction - for the sale due to take place on January 22nd - including 21 cases of Chateau Mouton Rothschild 2005.

In a statement, the Briton said: "I'm very happy that Sotheby's is bringing part of my precious wine collection to Hong Kong, particularly given that many wine connoisseurs are now in Asia."

This comes after a Cheval Blanc 1947 wine bottle sold for $304,375 at a Christie's auction last month.

Michael Ganne, wine specialist at the auctioneers, called the sale "exciting" for international collectors of the alcohol, adding the product is one of the greatest Bordeaux wines of all time.
