1915 FA Cup final programme to fetch £5k?

An auction of sports memorabilia is going on in London this month.

May welcomes the auctioning off of a collection of sports memorabilia in London, featuring a couple of almanacs such as an FA Cup final programme from 1915 for the Chelsea v Sheffield Unitedmatch that took place on April 24th. The book has been given an estimated value of between £5,000 and£6,900 but is not all that's on offer on the 12th of the month,Paul Fraser Collectibles reports.

John Wisden's Cricketers' Alamanack - which the news sourcenoted is thought to be the most famous sporting reference publication in the world - is also to go under the hammer and has been valued at between £10,000 and £15,000. In addition, keen bidders will be able to compete for BarrySheene's racing leathers, worn in 1981 by the Akai Yamaha driver,who later became famous for saying "nobody within motorcycling hasor deserves any respect" before his death in 2003.
