Jewellery & Watches

Christie’s will be selling one of the world’s largest pearls in Dubai on April 20th. Experts have seen the estimate of US$180,000-250,000 as being not only reachable but instead, hopefully passable.

In the jewelry sale, there will be an array of pearls, diamonds, gems and gold jewelry shown throughout the month of April. Pearls are particularly interesting to the history of the region through their past of pearl hunting in the harbor.

The pearl pendent is almost 60 carats and is encased by a thin band of diamonds. The chain the pearl is showcased on is also diamond-studded. The overall sale is estimated at a total of $5-6.5 million. Some items include a diamond flower necklace and matching earrings as well as an elephant-shaped gem ring.
