In the fall, Chirsties is holding their sale of Magnificent Jewels in New York. The sale, happening on October 18th, will highlight a very rare, 32.77 carat vivid yellow diamond which is expected to reach at least $6 million. Rahul Kadakia, The head for Jewelry in Chrisite's Americas said, " The Vivid Yellow literally blazes with colour, unlike any yellow diamond I've ever seen. In the world of diamonds, a naturally coloured stone of this incredible colour and size represents a freak occurrence -- an extremely rare geological phenomenon. The appearance of this extraordinary gemstone on the market truly represents a once in a lifetime opportunity for top jewelry collectors."

The diamond is unmounted and will be showcased in the sale in October. This will be the centrepiece for Christie's first major sale of the fall 2011 season. With high expectations, there is a great potential for this diamond to break all the records and become the morst expensive diamond ever to have been sold at auction. All to do now is wait and see!
