Queen Victoria’s brooch Fetches a Value of £600-800

Queen Victoria's brooch is coming to auction in April at Bonhams.

 On April 6th, Bonhams in London will auction off a gold, enamel and garnet bodice brooch belonging once to Queen Victoria. The brooch was originally the possession of Queen Victoria’s mother the Duchess of Kent and was part of the jewelry set left after the Duchess’ death. The brooch was given to Queen Victoria’s daughter Helena and inscribed on the back was “Belonged to dear Grandmamma V. From Mama V.R. to Helena 25th May 1870.”

The brooch is estimated at £600-800 in hopes that it will gain lots of interest with collectors. Some other highlights of the sale include a wonderful single cut diamond ring estimated at £6,000-8,000. A diamond and pearl brooch valued at £3,000-4,000. Also another ring set with emeralds and a diamond estimated at £4,000-6,000.
