Morris Minor van could encourage antique appraisal seekers

Antique appraisal seekers could be encouraged to get their items valued after a Morris Minor van recently went under the hammer.

Those looking for accurate antique appraisals could be encouraged by the recent sale of a Morris Minor van.

The vehicle raised £8,000 for Barnardo's as buyers bid at the British Car Auction's (BCA) Blackburn center on Monday (September 13th).

Royal Mail had donated the 1970 motor, which was used for deliveries in Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole during its six years in service.

Tim Naylor, PR manager at the BCA, said the organisation was delighted to be able to help the delivery service provider raise so much money for its chosen charity.

He added: "Barnardo's deserves support for the vital role it plays in bettering life every day for countless children throughout the UK."

This news comes after a blue Volkswagen Dharma van - used in hit TV series Lost - went under the hammer for $47,500 (£30,642) with total sales at the auction, at the Barker Hanger at the Santa Monica Airport, eventually raking in $1.8 million.
