A designer belt belonging to the late pop star Michael Jackson has been signed by his three children and will be sold at auction.

The item features the autographs of Blanket, Paris and Prince Jackson, CNN reports.

Proceeds from the sale will go towards the creation of the Jackson family museum which is earmarked for Gary, Indiana.

Commenting on the belt, Jerry Olivarez, a family friend of the King of Pop, suggested that one lucky person will soon be the owner of a unique piece of history.

He is quoted by the news provider as saying: "This is a truly one-of-a-kind opportunity."

Mr Olivarez added: "I know of no other item that has ever been made available to the public that has been signed by both the parents and children of Michael Jackson."

Previously, a white rhinestone glove belonging to the pop star was put up for sale in the United States.
