The notes were written on the back of an outstanding bill.
Handwritten lyrics penned by music legend John Lennon have attracted an antiques valuation of £350,000, it has been revealed.
The former Beatles singer penned the words to I'm Only Sleeping on the reverse of a demand for an outstanding bill of £12 to be paid.
The song was later used in the group's 1966 album Revolver.
What's more, the lyrical note - which is set to go under the hammer at Bonhams in London on December 15th - had scribbled words on it.
Consultant for the auctioneers Stephen Maycock said: "You can see the creative process at work and the ideas that are coming to him as he writes it."
This comes after a toilet previously owned by the Beatles legend was sold at auction for £9,500 following an antiques valuation of £1,000.
According to Stephen Bailey, organiser of the auction - which was at the 33rd annual Beatles Convention in Liverpool - the sale was "unbelievable".
