Celebrating the beginning of the American Civil War's 150th anniversary this Saturday with a biennial and sale in Norwich, Connecticut.
April will witness the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the American Civil War. In the state of Connecticut, there were many fabric and gun makers in the city of Norwich who supplied the Union armies with clothing and guns throughout the war.
On Saturday, March 12, many historical societies are coming together to showcase memorabilia from the Civil War at the Guns of Norwich’s biennial show. Along with the biennial, there will be events happening throughout the day like round table discussions, Civil War-era naval re-enactor, and many other activities.
The show will be at the kings of Columbus Hall in Taftville. Admission is $5 and children under the age of 16 are admitted free of charge.
