Antique appraisals seekers may be keen on Superman auction

A sale is set to take place in February.

Film Memorabilia

Those looking for accurate antique appraisals might be interested to note an array of Superman memorabilia is set to go under the hammer next month.

The sale - which is being hosted by York-based Hakes Auctions - is set to take place from February 1st-3rd, Superman Homepage reports.

Items include a Superman of America club button and a sterling silver charm of the popular cartoon character, as well as a Superman Crusader Kellogg's ring.

What's more, a lot of the products date back to the 1940s and include items such as toys, comics, dolls and figurines.

This comes after a piece of art by Banksy depicting a number of characters from The Jungle Book cartoon was given a pre-sale estimate of £80,000.

In addition, the controversial item, which was created for Greenpeace's Save or Delete campaign, depicted a number of the fictional characters from the film about to be executed.
