1965 armoured personnel carrier has antiques valuation of £8k
The vehicle will go under the hammer in Towcester with an antiques valuation of up to £8,000.
An armoured personnel carrier has been given an antiques valuation of between £6,000 and £8,000, it has been revealed.
According to the Northampton Chronicle & Echo, the fully-functioning 1965 vehicle is set to go under the hammer at Humberts Auction House in Towcester on January 18th.
Managing director of the auctioneers Jonathan Humbert said it is a coup for the company to have a vehicle such as this for sale.
He added: "This is definitely one of the most unusual lots we have ever had. I can't say who, but a few celebrities have taken their tank driving licence in this vehicle."
It can manage speeds of up to 25 mph and weighs 14 tonnes, while there is a rotating turret where grenades are fired out of.
This comes after codebreaker papers attained in the Second World War were given an antiques valuation of £500,000, the BBC reported.
