A painting of a scene from Moroccan daily life has been given an antiques valuation of between €90,000 (£76,128) and €120,000.

The item - entitled Borjs Verts - was created by Jacques Majorelle about the country he had close links with in 1917.

It is set to go under the hammer in Paris on March 30th at Sotheby's next sale of Orientalist art.

Other pieces by the artist set to be auctioned at the event include Souk a Marrakech, which has an antiques valuation of between €40,000 and €60,000.

What's more, a selection of Islamic art is also set to feature, including an Iznik blue and white pottery mosque lamp, of which few were made around 1510 when it was commissioned.

This comes after a piece of artwork by Pablo Picasso was given a pre-sale estimate of $27 million (£16.76 million) before it goes under the hammer in London next week (February 10th), Reuters reported.
