Those looking for accurate antique appraisals might be interested to note artwork by Scottish painter John Huston has gone under the hammer for £35,000.
It is now more than two years ago since the artist - who played football for the national team - passed away and experts have stated this investment on some of his pieces could be a shrewd one, the Edinburgh Evening News reports.
In total, ten of the ex-Dundee United player's items went under the hammer at the sale in Edinburgh with the most valuable - a painting of Bass Rock - selling for £8,400 to a Scottish collector.
Bonhams' head of pictures in Edinburgh Chris Brickley said Mr Huston was one of the finest post-war artists in Scotland.
This comes after an LS Lowry painting - entitled The Steps, Irk Place - fetched £713,000 at auction after previously being valued at between £400,000 and £600,000.
