It was the first ever two-wheeled motorbike to go into series production, according to reports.
A 115-year-old motorbike has been given an antiques valuation of £100,000.
The vehicle - the first one of its kind produced in the world - was constructed in 1894 by German inventors Hildebrand & Wolfmuller, the Daily Mail reports.
According to the publication, it was the first ever two-wheeled motor to go into series production and it is estimated there are only a dozen left in manufacture today.
Ben Walker, director of the department of collectors' motorcycles at Bonhams - where the bike is set to go under the hammer at its Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction - said people were still using horses and carriages to travel when it was made.
He added: "This is where it all begins - there's nothing that comes before it."
Other motors to have recently gone up for auction include an Aston Martin DB5, which was used in two James Bond films and sold for £2.6 million.
