One of the original copies of Schindler's list is believed to have an antiques valuation of up to $2 million (£1.29 million).

According to a piece in the Telegraph, a ruling by Supreme Court Justice Louis York has been lifted allowing the 13-page document to go under the hammer, but his widow is attempting to block the sale.

It was originally compiled by German industrialist Oskar Schindler as he sought to save more than 1,000 Jews during the Holocaust and a film was later made about his quest, entitled Schindler's List.

The motion picture, which was created in the early nineties, starred Liam Neeson as Mr Schindler, while Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes - who plays the role of Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series and was in Clash of the Titans - also appeared in the movie.

It was based on a book written by Thomas Keneally, entitled Schindler's Ark.
