We assist by advising where the best place is to sell, what auction, what date and what potential buyers to target. We create a general selling strategy to achieve our clients aims. These aims vary from achieving the maximum return, a fast sale, an anonymous sale or even just for clearance purposes. By having your item pushed by the auction house AND by us, there is a huge benefit resulting in ultimately achieving the higest possible price.

Our Independent and Unbiased advice to maximise your selling price

The auction world is fast moving. The prices items make change from season to season, some categories go out of fashion as others take there place. Our 60 experts constantly monitor the salerooms, noticing the changing trends from auction room to auction room. Depending on the estimated value, size and location of your item Value My Stuff will advise you where best to sell. We have relationships with the international auction houses and many of the local auction rooms. So regardless of where you are based we can ensure that you achieve the best possible result. We will liaise with the auction house on your behalf, check the cataloguing, make sure it is well illustrated, well exhibited and will push the item, so that it gets maximum coverage, thus guaranteeing to attract any potential buyers and entice the bidding process. 


You don't pay more commission by selling through us!

Just click on "send enquiry now" with the details of the item you wish to sell. A member of the Value My stuff Agency Service Team will contact you to discuss confidentially your requirements. We will then create a sale strategy tailored to these needs and liaise between you and the auction room. We will consign the item under the value my stuff name to ensure you will not have to deal with any administrative issues with the various auction rooms. All we require is a copy of photographic identification and a utility bill and your bank account details to pay you the sale proceeds after the sale has taken place. Value My Stuff charges a fee inclusive of our administrative charges, auction house commission, photographic charges and insurance costs. The commission is calculated as follows (based on the hammer price):

  • 15% on the sales amount below £10,000;
  • 10% on the sales amount over £10,001
