Rolls-Royce achieves £195.5k auction value

When looking for the finest antique valuation advice, news that one motor has gone for an eye-watering figure may inspire.
British Car Auctions (BCA) has witnessed a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drop Head Coupe fetch £195,500 under the hammer, despite the UK feeling the effects of the longstanding credit crisis.
The organisation suggested that demand for such vehicles has remained strong - and the priced accrued for the 2008 edition might reflect people's appetite for such automotives.
It has a silver hood and black finish, with approximately 4,000 miles clocked so far.
A number of other vehicles were purchased as part of the event, including a 0857 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder E Gear 2 which generated £90,000.
Overall, BCA sold 266 cars on behalf of Lex Autolease, with a total sum of more than £4 million raised.
The auction house recently conducted a virtual sale for Citroen which generated a turnover in excess of £3 million.
