Online Auction House Makes Headline

Artnet is gearing up for their seven day online auction consisting of Middle Eastern Contemporary art. Almost every media is showcased in this sale. From remarkable and afforadable photographs to high-end works of sculpture and paintings this sale could prove to be a huge success. Nazy Nazhand, the curator of Middle Eastern art is stated as saying, "This is the first auction of Middle Eastern Art on artnet Auctions. Having previously held special auctions focusing on periods and movements, including Pop Art, Design, European, 20th Century, Modern, and Latin American Art, this once again confirms the leading position artnet holds at the forefront of the global art market."

With successful sales reaching a global market, artnet is trying to position themselves are the primere spot to buy art. Bidding is happening now and continuing until August 18th. With higlights such as Parviz Kalantari's Untitled 2009 work holding an estimate of $22,000-30,000, this sale has great potential. The majority of the works fall within $2,000-10,000 with the hope that these pieces will generate a lot of interest.
