Christie’s Appraises Beatles for $100,000

July 19, 2011

On July 20th Christie’s will hold The Beatles Illuminated: The Discovered Works of Mike Mitchell in New York City. Mitchell, a US native, has never published nor sold any of these 50 pieces before and is showing them here for the first time at Christie’s. The collection has the potential to reach over $100,000.

The pictures are primarily from the first US concert at the Washington Coliseum in 1964. All black and white, the collection is impressive and monumental. The prints can be viewed until the auction tomorrow at Christie’s New York.
